Mobile Market
Prosperity Gardens (PG) owns and operates a mobile food truck for the purpose of distributing low-cost, freshly grown produce to areas of C-U that are not served by current farmer’s markets and/or nearby grocery stores.
We have formed a partnership with Frances Nelson Health Center. Each Wednesday we visit the clinic, providing locally grown produce at a ‘take-what-you-want’ and ‘pay what you can’ rate. This fits with PG’s mission of community involvement and access to nutrition. It provides an additional avenue for the READY students to learn business skills and develop a sense of generosity.
